PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Silicon carbide powder is the core raw material for preparing high-performance ceramic products, such as corresponding silicon carbide products, refractory materials, semiconductor devices, etc. The purity, particle size, and morphology of silicon carbide micro powder directly affect the performance of the final product.
Reaction bonded silicon carbide powder is a key raw material for the preparation of RBSiC ceramics. After granulation of various mixed powders, the product takes on a nearly round shape and exhibits good fluidity, meeting the requirements of pressing and isostatic pressing processes. The particle size range is 20~325μm, the packing density is ≥0.8g/cm3, and the moisture content is ≤1.0%.
The impurity content in RBSiC powder is extremely low, especially metal impurities such as iron (Fe), aluminum (Al), calcium (Ca), titanium (Ti), etc.RBSiC powder contains a small amount of unreacted free silicon.
Characteristics Of RBSiC Powder
Reaction bonded silicon carbide powder achieves densification through liquid-phase silicon infiltration reaction and has the characteristics of low-temperature sintering, high density, and low cost.High bulk density and oscillation density are essential raw materials for grouting and extrusion molding processes.
Usually, the common particle size range of RBSiC powder is 0.5μm to several micrometers.
A reasonable particle size distribution of RBSiC powder can achieve higher bulk density during the stacking process, reduce initial pores, thereby reducing the content of free silicon in the final product and improving performance.
