High purity silicon carbide powder is a high-performance ceramic material with excellent physical and chemical properties, mainly composed of high purity silicon carbide (SiC). The purity of SiC raw powder 5N-6N is usually 99.999% -99.9999%, with extremely low impurities such as iron, aluminum, and oxygen. The total impurity content should be controlled within the range of 0.001% (10 ppm) to 0.0001% (1 ppm).
Common ones include α - SiC (hexagonal system, such as 4H and 6H types) and β - SiC (cubic system). SiC coarse powder is usually in the α phase and has high stability. The particle size range of SiC coarse powder is 10μm to 100μm, and the product purity of SiC raw powder can reach 5N level (purity ≥ 99.999%).
